NHB Back in Cleveland

On Thursday July 2nd, 2009 the band returned to Quaker Steak & Lube in Cleveland for a special “Bike Night” performance.

With new keyboardist Bruce Cody on hand, NHB delivered three straight hours of high powered rock-n-roll. Lead guitarist Stephen Christopher’s family surprised everyone by driving down from Detroit for the show! But an even bigger surprise occurred when young roadie T.J. Klisavage jumped on stage to sing a rousing rendition of “Play that Funky Music White Boy”. T.J. said he couldn’t help himself because he has always wanted to sing that song with NHB’s great drummer Ron Beitle (Wild Cherry).

Upcoming Documentary Features Nied’s Hotel Band

On Sunday March 8, 2009 the band began laying down the initial tracks for their upcoming cd to be released later this year. Producer Bud Hall and engineers Charlie Simeone & Mike Ehman, turned Nied’s Hotel into a remote recording studio

As if recording a new album wasn’t enough action for one day, “Bar Band” documentary director Frank Ferraro & camera man Ben Herstrom filmed all of the action. This turned out to be a great opportunity for The Nied’s Hotel Band to present its donation to the Parkinson’s Foundation. Additionally, Radio personality, and rock-n-roll DJ legend, Sean McDowell (102.5 WDVE - Pittsburgh) surprised everyone with an impromptu visit which Ferraro quickly turned into an incredible interview for the documentary.

Special thanks to photographers Andrew Vento & Cynthia Hoskins for capturing this magical day through their eyes.
