Effective August 1, 2010, all proceeds from downloads of the Nied’s Hotel Band song “The Day the Lady Cried”, shall be dedicated to the Flight 93 National Memorial Fund. The band is very proud to have been selected by the National Park Foundation to participate in this worthy campaign. (Learn more)

With the signing of a new long term contract, the band has become the first major act to commit to the newly formed Big Cat Entertainment, LLC. Big Cat will not only handle all NHB promotion, but will be recording the band in their recently constructed, state of the art facility, Corbriwood Studios. Everyone associated with The Nied’s Hotel Band is looking forward to a long and prosperous relationship with the team at Big Cat Entertainment.

NHB has reduced its performance schedule in order to focus on writing and pre-production work for their upcoming studio sessions. Check out some (very rough demo) sample sounds below:

NHB lead singer, John Vento along with artist Frank Ferraro have joined forces on a musical project that transcends words and music. Their new album “Holy Ghost” (Fall 2010) is not about redemption, it is the unveiling of a bond between two friends.

The Nied’s Hotel Band was selected to perform and record a new political protest song, “Tax My Booze, Baby You Lose”. The Anti-Tax Organization is launching a nationwide campaign against over taxation. Visit their website (www.taxmybooze.com). This summer there are several shows from various bands at the amphitheatre. All performances are from 7pm-10pm, weather permitting. Should the weather prohibit an event, the shows will be moved inside. There is no cover charge.
