Another Vento/Ferraro Collaboration

Singer/Songwriter, John Vento along with artist Frank Ferraro have joined forces on a musical project that transcends words and music. Their new album “Holy Ghost” (Fall 2010) is not about redemption, it is the unveiling of a bond between two friends.

The Nied’s Hotel Band was selected to write, arrange, perform and record a new political protest song, “Tax My Booze, Baby You Lose”. The Anti-Tax Organization is launching a nationwide campaign against over taxation. Their website (www.TaxMyBooze.com) will be online soon. In the meantime here is an unfinished version of what the guys have come up with so far:

Tax My Booze Baby You Lose

A Message From Jim Franciscus / Shot O’ Soul

John, it was great working with you guys again . The entire show was a lot of fun. Thank you so much for the kind words and compliments (from all of the Nied’s Hotel Band members) on Shot O’ Soul’s performance. They are greatly appreciated. We love doing shows with you guys and respect what you do so very much. Please thank Ron Beitle and Russ Oblinger for the use of their equipment. They were wonderful and gracious as always. Please also pass my thanks on to Dr. “O”& Liz for the tremendous lighting and Charlie Simeone for doing a SUPERB job with the sound.

The Nied’s Hotel Band sounded great as usual , and didn’t miss a beat with Tim Hadley stepping into the mix on lead guitar, he is a fantastic player. I loved your new original songs, and being the Springsteen devotee that I am, especially enjoyed ”Thunder Road”.
Here’s wishing for great things to come for the Nieds Hotel Band and Shot O’ Soul in the upcoming year!!
